Juel Dukes Bog
Winter Weather    Heavy Freeze
Zone    7b
Dimensions:   2.5 x 6ft + 5 gallon tub + a few smaller pots
Depth:    nothing over 12 inches
Age of Bog:   Third summer

Reason for Dimensions or depth:   It's a multiple of the large plastic cement mixing tubs and designed so I can chnage out tubs if I need to without disturbing the whole thing.

Drainage:     I drilled a few drainage holes near the top of the containers(between 1 and 2 inches feom edge) so standing water wouldn't cover crowns of plants

Soil Mix:    I use a bit of haorticultural(or aquarium) charcola in the bottom half od the larger containers-don't know if it helps but it doesn't hurt.

CP Grown:    Sarracenia only in the large bogs but I have smaller bogs for sun dews and fly traps

Non CP Growing    calypogon, juncus, lobelia, osmunda regalis, Iris, arum

Comments:    More captivating and much easier than orchids
